Check out the latest in the "Sentinels of Light" series from League of Legends (made by Riot Studios). I had the great pleasure working with a wonderful CFX team at Axis Studios on this short and another one, soon to be released. We completed this on a very tight schedule and with an excellent group of people.

So we got the opportunity to do these stampeding cows and boy, they are moooovin.. (yes, pun very much intended..) My work was skin simulation using cloth -- can you guess which ones are real and which are fake? (trick question.. they're all CG) Fun fact: A network television station required an affidavit stating these were not real cows and no actual cows were abused or hurt on this commercial. Had such a wonderful time working with the folks at A52 on this spot. We've all been there -- I think -- dragging around a bunch of ... well, stuff! And I love the Cat Stevens song (who doesn't?) Been having a wonderful time working at Blizzard. Especially love the facial animation in this one. You know them, you love them... The Justice League Players (and one surprise special guest, not listed below!) Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) Aquaman (Arthur Curry) Batman (Bruce Wayne) Cyborg (Victor Stone) and last but certainly not least... The Flash (Barry Allen) Such an amazing group of characters to work on ~ Watch to the end for some fun outtakes! Growing up in the 70s, watching the Superfriends cartoon show, I never thought I'd be working on the amazing film adaptation of it. Each of these actors has fulfilled the roles far better than I could have ever imagined in my prepubescent mind. It's been a real thrill (and great challenge) to help them out with their hair and clothes. Next up, Wonder Twins??
Working at Digital Domain on this new series based on the Stephen King story (and previous 2007 movie) "The Mist,
I did CFX work on the giant "moth man" wings. Check out all the interesting and horrific work that was masterfully done by Digital Domain artists. The fourth and final season of Black Sails, one of best pirate dramas ever made. Period. It was my honor to help bring some more ships to life with simulated sails, flags and ropes. Looking forward to seeing this last season in January. This was a wonderful film to work on -- you won't believe how great the fully digital Beast looks! A wonderful edit of our best work on Season 3 and the horrific storm weathered by Capt Flint and his mates. By the way.. this episode has been nominated for an "Outstanding Special Visual Effects" Emmy by the Television Academy. Hope we win! |
