The fourth and final season of Black Sails, one of best pirate dramas ever made. Period. It was my honor to help bring some more ships to life with simulated sails, flags and ropes. Looking forward to seeing this last season in January.

Continuing on to more Black Sails Season 2 work at Digital Domain. We'll be picking up where we left off at Reliance MediaWorks and finish the amazing work we started. Looking forward to working with the new team which includes a few alums from the old team. Sails, flags and ropes be on the horizon, Ahoy Mateys!
This was one of two ads I worked on last summer at Digital Domain. A game from Warner Brothers set in the Lord of the Rings universe, it was really fun working on the clothing for these characters. It's been a year since we worked on it, so we're hoping the second one will be released soon! I've been having a wonderful experience working on Black Sails. The attention to detail and beautiful art direction has made this film quality production a pleasure to work on. I'm now working with Reliance Mediaworks to bring to life Michael Bay's new series, "Black Sails". While building the sails and ropes, one comes to really understand the meaning of the term "rigging". This season they've added a lot more rope/sail interaction and that's been fun and challenging to tackle. Luckily, I'm working with a great group of people, which makes all of this possible. I've been at DreamWorks again for the past couple weeks doing CFX work on animations for the new DreamTab kid's tablet from Fuhu. The animation is pretty high quality and it's a really fun little project. I like knowing the end result is going towards a kid's product. Somehow makes it seem more important.
I didn't know who LeBron James was until working on this latest NBA2K commercial with Digital Domain recently. (Yeah, I know.. I can hear all you basketball fans going "What the?" ) But now that I am familiar with him, all I can say is "Wow, what an amazing player". We did the digital clothing on this guy (see if you can tell where the live action jersey and shorts ends and the CG ones begin..). It was a fun job and I enjoyed (as always) working with the DD Commercials group. Well, seems I'm going down the "commercials" path these days. It's a new visit to old territory for me. I'm liking the short productions and the people I've worked with are really great. My most recent job adventures have led to Digital Domain Commercials and Logan, working on an Warner Bros. game commercial and a Kia car commercial, respectively. (Can't say more than that due to the Non-Disclosure Agreement of course..) When I'm able to, I'll post the final products here.
